YOU SEE YOUR TEEN STUDYING HARD
They ‘get’ the subject content and do everything they’re told to by their teachers.
But they still struggle to get the results they really want and YOU know they’re capable of.
You might’ve even hired a tutor (or two) as you notice them losing confidence in themselves.
You just want them to feel confident
and see their effort pay off
(and hey, maybe even live a little more too).
So, you join them in the quest to understand the long and word-y success criteria.
And do your best to not take it personally when they shun your gentle suggestion that perhaps those 27 pages of notes might not be the most efficient way to research or revise a topic.
(You’re right by the way) ;)
And if that doesn’t sound exhausting enough…
When they DO ‘allow’ you to help, you’re both grappling with teacher feedback that says ‘give more detail’ whilst also attempting to cut down the word count.
